Who we are
Trade GPT is a team of product designers, engineers and market specialists who share one frustration: most trading tools are either built for professionals or sold with promises nobody can keep. We set out to build something in between, an AI trading platform that does the repetitive screen-watching for you while keeping every important decision in your hands.
The current release, Trade GPT 3.0, is the 2026 version of the platform. It focuses on three things our users asked for most: clearer explanations of each trade, finer control over losses, and a demo mode that behaves like the real thing. The platform is available to residents across Canada through the Trade GPT Official Website at trade-gpt.ca.
Our mission
Our mission is simple: help everyday Canadians take part in the markets with discipline instead of guesswork. Many people want exposure to crypto and forex but do not have hours a day to watch charts, and they are rightly wary of anything that sounds too good to be true. We think automation can help with the first problem, and radical honesty is the only answer to the second.
The principles we build by
- We never promise or imply guaranteed returns.
- Every automated decision should be explainable in plain English.
- The trader, not the algorithm, sets the limits.
- Practice with demo mode should always come before real money.
- Risk warnings belong next to sign-up buttons, not hidden in the fine print.
These principles shape product decisions as much as marketing ones. For example, the AI trading bot cannot be switched on until you have set a daily loss limit, and the pause button is never more than one tap away.
Who Trade GPT is for
Trade GPT is designed for beginners who want a structured, low-pressure way to learn how markets move, and for intermediate traders who already have ideas but would rather hand repetitive execution to software. It is not designed for anyone looking for guaranteed income, quick riches or a replacement for professional financial advice. If that is what you need, we would rather tell you now. You can read more about this on our Why us page.
How we write and check this website
Everything on trade-gpt.ca is written in plain Canadian English and reviewed against a few house rules. We do not publish profit figures, win rates or customer testimonials we cannot verify. Where we use examples of how Canadians might use the platform, we label them as illustrative. Where a topic involves tax or regulation, we point you to the official source, such as the Canada Revenue Agency or the Canadian Securities Administrators' National Registration Search at aretheyregistered.ca, rather than summarising rules that can change.
If you spot something on this website that looks inaccurate or out of date, please contact us. We correct errors as soon as we confirm them.
Our review of the Trade GPT platform
We are often asked for an honest Trade GPT review, so here is ours. Please keep in mind that this review is written by the Trade GPT team. It is our own assessment of the platform's strengths and weaknesses, not an independent rating, and we encourage you to form your own view in demo mode.
Ease of use
StrongThe guided setup asks a handful of questions about your goals and comfort with risk, then suggests a preset. A first-time trader can get from registration to a running demo strategy in one sitting without reading a manual.
AI and automation
StrongThe market scanner works around the clock and acts on rules, not moods. That consistency is the main thing automation offers, and Trade GPT 3.0 delivers it. It does not, and cannot, predict the market.
Risk controls
StrongPer-trade limits, a daily loss cap and stop-loss levels are set before the bot can trade, and a one-tap pause sits on every screen. These are the features we would least want to give up.
Transparency
GoodEvery trade comes with a short plain-English note explaining why it was opened and closed. Some notes are still fairly technical, so beginners may need a few weeks to get comfortable with the vocabulary.
Mobile experience
GoodThe platform runs in any modern mobile browser and syncs with desktop. It works well for checking positions and pausing trading; detailed strategy editing is easier on a larger screen.
Learning curve for advanced tools
Room to improveStrategy Lab and backtesting are powerful, but the jump from presets to custom strategies is steep. Intermediate traders will enjoy it; beginners should stay with presets for a while.
What we like most
The combination of demo mode, hard risk limits and readable trade notes. Each one on its own is common; having all three switched on by default is what makes Trade GPT feel like a tool rather than a gamble.
What we would change
The step from preset strategies to fully custom ones should be gentler, and some trade explanations still lean on jargon. Both are on our roadmap for future updates to Trade GPT 3.0.
Our overall verdict
For Canadian beginners and intermediate traders who want automation without giving up control, Trade GPT is a thoughtful, transparent choice. It will not remove the risk of trading, and no platform can. Start in demo mode, go live with a small amount, and judge it on your own results. Before you do, please read our risk disclaimer.
