1. Who this policy applies to

This privacy policy applies to visitors of the Trade GPT Official Website at trade-gpt.ca and to people who register for, or use, the Trade GPT platform. In this policy, “Trade GPT”, “we” and “us” refer to the operator of the Trade GPT website and platform, and “you” refers to you as a visitor or user.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Registration details: your name, email address, phone number and country or province of residence.
  • Identity verification: information and documents needed to confirm who you are, as required to prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
  • Account and trading settings: your strategy choices, risk limits, trade history and preferences.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email or through the platform.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: browser type, device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages viewed and time spent on the website.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files that keep you logged in, remember your preferences and help us understand how the website is used.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate, including to:

  • create, verify and manage your Trade GPT account;
  • run the platform, including demo mode and automated trading within the limits you set;
  • respond to your questions and provide customer support;
  • detect, prevent and investigate fraud, account takeovers and misuse of our name;
  • send service messages, such as security alerts and changes to our terms;
  • send marketing emails, but only where you have agreed, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation;
  • improve the website and platform and keep them secure;
  • meet our legal, regulatory and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Consent

By registering or using the website, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your information as described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawing consent for some purposes, such as identity verification, may mean we can no longer provide your account.

5. Third-party services

We work with carefully chosen service providers who help us run the website and platform, for example hosting, identity verification, email delivery and analytics providers. They may only use your information to provide services to us. This website also uses:

  • Google Fonts, to display our typefaces, which means your browser contacts Google's servers.
  • Google Translate, which loads when you use the language switcher. Google may process the page content and your browser data under its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Trade GPT.

6. Storage outside Canada

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts or authorities. We take contractual and technical steps to protect it wherever it is processed.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including any period required by law for financial, tax or anti-fraud records. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. How we protect your information

We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, two-step login options and staff training. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and never share it with anyone, including people claiming to be from Trade GPT.

9. Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, you can:

  • ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • withdraw consent to optional uses, such as marketing emails;
  • ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep;
  • make a complaint about how we have handled your information.

To make a request, email support@trade-gpt.ca with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the privacy regulator in your province where provincial law applies, such as the Commission d'accès à l'information in Québec.

10. Children

Trade GPT is intended only for adults who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and we will tell registered users about significant changes by email or in the platform.
